Hi, I’m Leanne.
I’m here to help you find ease and connection within yourself through compassionate self-discovery and mindful movement.
My journey with yoga started when I was about eight years old, following along with a VHS tape in my living room. Yoga came and went over the years, but it became a steady part of my life in 2018, when I was navigating anxiety and working on my relationship with alcohol. It wasn’t the physical practice that hooked me…it was the way yoga helped me slow down, tune into my body, and quiet the endless chatter in my mind.
It gave me space to just be.
In 2020, I completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training, and by 2021, I was teaching at a sober living transition home. That experience showed me the powerful intersection of yoga and recovery, inspiring me to pursue an 800-hour yoga therapy certification. I completed my program in February 2024 and am now a registered yoga therapist with the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT).
My approach to yoga therapy isn’t about perfecting poses or getting a workout.
It’s about moving slowly and mindfully, creating a space where you can feel at home in your body, and learning to meet your mind (even its messy, noisy moments) with compassion.
Whether you’re working through addiction recovery, managing anxiety, or simply seeking a more peaceful connection to yourself, I am here to guide and support you.
When I’m not teaching, you’ll probably find me scuba diving, tending to my garden, or spending time by the ocean. I feel most grounded and attuned to myself - and the world around me - when I’m in nature, especially near the water. It’s the kind of connection I hope to support others in discovering: steady, spacious, and present.
It’s the heart of what I offer through Attunement Yoga Therapy.
